My Two Cents...

We watched the Presidential speech to the school-age children of America district wide on Monday...I know... it took the administration awhile to make the final decision to show it...and across my campus kids  had to leave their classrooms because their parents did not want them viewing it.  Really?  He's our President...like him or not, voted for him or not, what is that teaching children?  You don't need to respect authority? If you don't agree with someone's views, just don't listen to him/her?  It's a little scary if you ask me...Just my 2 cents...

Agreed. I was a strict McCain supporter, but now encourage our kids to respect the president. It's really that easy.

Aren't we doing kids a disservice by throwing out this anarchy-type mentality? I'm assuming that to an elementary school age child the president is right up there with their principal. Hoping he or she receives respect after parents are showing none to Obama.

I agree with you 100%. It was a huge controversy in my school district, too, and of course most of the teachers were offended that the admin. chose to take the stance that they did--that no teacher was allowed to show the President's speech live.

I completely agree. I think it's really sad how some adults handle things. Sad.
My children's school did NOT show the speech, but a note was sent home saying that if we wanted our children to see the speech that we should record it for them. At least a note was sent home, I wish they could have seen it together at school though.

I love your background and fun/happy pictures on your header. That's all I have to say about that. (very cheery)
