Weekend in Pictures...

What an amazing weekend...

I met my favorite SIL, Jennifer, at the mall on Friday for some shopping...I'll take any opportunity I can to hang out with 2 of my favorite girls! My niece, Addison...I like to call her Addy even though Jen doesn't want me to! =)

I could eat her up!

On Saturday we went to a surprise party for a good friend of mine. It was a blast hanging out with some of my best friends. Carrie...love you Carriegirl...Dodi..."the teenager's" kindergarten teacher...and me....Way too many ritas at this point..hence my hair!

This is after Carrie dared me to eat a bite out of a donut we found in Heidi's butler's pantry. At the time we thought it was really funny...

Sharon and I! Happy 40th, Sharon!

Good times! Heidi has the most incredible house...It was just like being in a Mexican villa.

I love this man!

Since the boys weren't coming home until 4:00 on Memorial Day, Ryan and I decided to go up to the beach pool and relax, hang out. It was great...music, games, and EVERY kid in a 5 mile radius from the pool...

We picked up a smoker on the way home to meet the boys, and Ryan cooked steak, ribs, sausage and brats while the boys rode their scooters. I'm not much of a meat eater, but I can always make exceptions for one of Ryan's steaks!

Preston coloring in the scratches on his scooter.

Sweet Carter...

Austin...growing up WAY too fast...

My handsome hubby...

After dinner, we took the kids to the park. The expression on Carter's face pretty much sums up the day...

There is nothing more important than family....so blessed...

Comic Relief...

Some mornings are more entertaining than others. Take for instance this morning...

This is how Trysten found our dog, Shelby, after the kids got out of the bath...It's what she gets for digging in the trashcan..that's the lid stuck around her neck.
And Carter...this is what he came downstairs looking like and assumed I was going to allow him leave the house...What is this?
Have a great weekend!!!

Notice Anything....

Notice anything about this picture? Body language is so telling! Just in case you have been living in a cave the past few years, this is Jon from Jon and Kate Plus 8 on TLC. Rumors are running rampant that Jon has found himself a little 3rd grade teacher to "spend quality time with" on the sly, and the reality TV couple is headed for divorce. If you have ever watched the show, you can see why he might be desperate to end the marriage, as Kate is constantly berating him. The saying, "You never know what is going on behind closed doors." is actually an open book in their situation. There's no pretending to have a loving, happy marriage because theirs is displayed on television daily in 30 minute increments. Kate has been known to make viewers cringe when she speaks to Jon as if he's as young as the children! From the looks of it, they can barely stand each other!

This pic is from the episode where they renewed their vows...How ironic.

Okay...Got it!

My body has spoken...slow down...take a break! I have an upper respiratory infection...slowing down for a few days...Is that really possible? Good night, and farewell for a few days! Have a great week! =)

It's the Fun Bus!

Have you ever heard of Fun Bus? It's this bus...duh...that goes around to local childcare facilities and is decked out like a small gym. Carter absolutely loves it, and his class goes every Friday. Just some cute pics of "fun time"!

If only life were this carefree for all of us...

Having a blast!Oh ya...did I mention that he picks out his own clothes...yikes...

They grow up way too fast...

Weekend Recap & Mother's Day...

What an amazing and so needed weekend! It was full of great friends and family from beginning to end! Preston had 2 games this weekend...1 on Friday and 1 on Saturday...but other than that, we were kid-free. On Saturday, I attended a baby shower for a close friend of mine, and then Ryan and I headed out to meet Jon and Kathy...good friends from Preston's baseball team....for dinner, drinks, and tons of laughs! We had the best time, and we loved being able to introduce the lovely pair to sushi! We took them to OUR restaraunt...Naan...the place that got rid of OUR sofa...the owner says it is at his house now and has agreed to have us over to sit on on the sofa anytime. =) My sides were actually sore this morning from laughing so much, and I can't wait to hang out with John and Kathy again!

Sunday was fabulous as well! My boys returned home from their dad's, and my whole family came over to celebrate Mother's Day. It's always fun when the whole family is together...especially with 8 small children running around the house! Good times!

Kelly and I at her shower!

Kathy and I at Naan...love me some sake!

My sweet hubby...love this man!

So Glad It's Friday!

Finally! It's Friday, and I'm off to Field Day with my students! I have promised them that I will participate in all the activities....that means the 50 and 100 yard dashes, tug-of-war, water balloons, hurdles and the basketball shootout....Good times!

Have a great weekend!!!!

Busy...

That's all I have time to say....oh, and this....

1. My partner teacher is in the hospital, so I'm pulling the reins for both classes....that's 51 students people.

2. I'm making curtains for 2 different people now...one for a woman I met at Trade Days, and another one I met through someone else.

3. Kenny Chesney has rescheduled his concert that was rained out last weekend for May 17th, and get this...it's free to those that bought tickets to the first one! I knew he was a great guy!

4. This coming weekend is a kid-free weekend, and Ryan and I are in need of some alone time. His new position at work demands so much more of his time, but I am so proud of all that he has accomplished!

5. It is teacher appreciation week, and I have received so many fattening snacks from my wonderful students and lunch from the PTA. It is taking everything inside of me to exhibit self control.

6. The kids and I only have 19 more days of school left until SUMMER!!!

Happy Thursday!!!

Random Circle Time

I picked up Carter from preschool yesterday, and following is another random thought he decided to share out loud with his entire class...including his teacher...

Carter: I have "chee chee cha nas" (his word for boobs). My mom doesn't have "chee chee cha nas" because she has boobs, but I have "chee chee cha nas" see! (lifting up his shirt to show everyone)

Makes me a little nervous about what could come out of his mouth next...

Little Carter with his friend Braden from school...love this little guy...

Good Friends...Good Times

I met up for dinner with a couple of good friends last night...Sharon and Kelly! We met when our oldest children were in kindergarten together...7 years ago. For some reason there was a group of about 6 of us that really bonded that year, and we still talk and hang out when our busy schedules allow!

Good friends = Good Times

Weekend Recap...

Another great weekend for the Solawatts crew. Friday night was spent hangin' with the family while Ryan cooked his infamous steaks...I didn't allow myself to partake in the grilled goodness since I have to be in a bikini in a few short weeks...Sure smelled great though, and the kids ate like it was their last meal.

On Saturday, Ryan took "the teenager" and Preston to an event at the Rough Rider's stadium with a few other father and son pairs while I stayed home with Trysten...he is getting over bronchitis...and Carter. The babysitter showed up early evening, and Ryan and I headed to the Kenny Chesney concert at Pizza Hut Park. We started off at Lochrann's across the street, where we had dinner, drinks, and watched the Kentucky Derby. I would love, love, love to go see that in person some day. It's the one place you can wear a hat bigger than your body's circumference and not look ridiculous. Needless to say, we parked it there for a long time due to the hurricane taking place just beyond the glass windows. Around 8:00 we paid the bill, purchased 2 ponchos for $10.00, braved the weather, and sat through a few sporadic showers and the first 6 songs on Kenny's playlist. Right before the beginning of some of our personal favorites, the heavens opened and we ran for the hills. By the time we reached our car, we were both soaked from head to toe, and that's no exaggeration. Despite the impromptu soaking, we decided to join some of our friends at their home for an early Cinco de Mayo party. Through Preston's baseball team, we have met some of the greatest couples and have had the best time hanging out and getting to know each other. We all have the same age children and pretty much get together in some form or fashion every weekend, usually with all the kids. The rest of the evening was spent with them...laughing, talking, and playing games...this time it was Buzz Word...Good times!
Sunday...Since I am working tomorrow but the kids are off, my boys went to stay overnight at their dad's, so Ryan and I had the chance to spend some quality time with Trysten. We took him to Dave & Busters, and together we won 3,600 tickets...Below you can see what T decided to "purchase" with the loot...

Could he be any cuter with those 2 front teeth missing!!! He looks like his handsome daddy!
