I Want This Room To...

This is my family room...and I love it. I love rich fabrics, lots of patterns, lots of different textures, not matchy-matchy, golds, ambers, blacks, shades of chocolate, oranges and greens. It's really cozy in the winter time due to the leather sofa and of all of the darker colors...which I love...but now that spring is here, I am feeling the need to lighten up a bit...I want this room to feel cool and breezy too. So....I am asking for advice. What should I do to put a spring in this room's step?

    something green! an arrangement or some pop of color. would work with the neutrals, too! great room.

    Wow! That room is awesome. Girl, you are something else. I love the ottoman/coffee table. Maybe you could switch out the tray on it for something white and light and add some light fun pillows? I agree with adding a plant or arrangement...Love it just the way it is though:).

    That room is beautiful. Maybe some turqoise accents?
    I am too colorful, so probably not a whole lot of help.

    Yes, I spent $50 on those letters. Was that too much? They are 12 inches and JUST what I had been looking for. Was that dumb?

    I think the muted greens and muted blues would looks great as an off-set with all the dark. Definitely an arrangement would bring in spring! Looks like you have fantastic taste and what ever you choose will be wonderful!
