I'm participating in "Hooked on Fridays" going on at Hooked on Homes again, and this week...I am hooked on using tufted ottomans as coffee tables. It was the perfect solution to avoiding sharp corners when I had very little ones toddling around, and let's face it, they're beautiful!
Red velvet...Remind me of the infamous staircase in Gone With the Wind...
This is mine in my family room...

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
I'm a huge fan, too! I've got one in the living room AND it's also for storage! Can't be that!!!
ReplyDeleteWe got a leather ottoman as a coffee table before out daughter was born. It was a great decision.
ReplyDeleteI bought ours for the infant factor....and love it. LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love ottomans, I have 4 in my house...one by the door is for storage of gloves/hats, etc., and I sit on it with my coffee every morning waiting for the bus with my sons...like your blog, I understand your world, as I, too, have a houseful of boys!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I love ottomans as well. I took an old end table from my husband's college days and remade it into a fantastic ottoman, it makes such an interesting piece in my front room.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a coffee table in our living room. Weird huh? But when the kiddos get a bit older, I migh have to get myself a zebra printed one witha pea green base.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
We just bought one this week and I LOVE it! Two head injuries on the coffee table was enough for the hubby to allow me to make the purchase!
ReplyDeleteI really regret that I bought a coffee table for my family room instead of an ottoman. They're so much more comfy when you want to kick your feet up on something. Someday I hope to switch it out!
ReplyDeleteEvery since I saw your zebra ottoman in posts past, I have wanted one. I'm in the market! Can you suggest anywhere to look in particular?
ReplyDeleteBTW- the tags and frames look precious in house of Coco! Love them! I think I need some. And... I love the cute little shirt and frame from the last post.
Guess what... I love yours the most! Shocker, huh? Where did you get it?
ReplyDeleteLooks like I'm not the only one who loves tufted ottomans! Glad you liked the photos!
ReplyDeleteHeather and Sassy- Thanks for the compliments! I bought the fabric I originally had the ottoman made at Childress in Frisco, and for my current house, I had it recovered at Berkely's which is also in Frisco. It was very inexpensive...compared to buying a new one...to just have it recovered. It is the second one I have had, and I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular coffee table. They give me the chance to use my beloved animal prints!!
Pretty pictures girl!
ReplyDeleteI love ottomans as well.
Hey, come see my makeover in the entry....
I have a homemade zebra topper for my coffee table and love it! Love yorus!
ReplyDeleteyou have great taste! come decorate for me please. thanks. :)
ReplyDeletelove love love them! Coffee tables do make me nervous b/c they are ALWAYS the preferred choice of furniture for the babes to pull up on. And, of course, busted lips and bumped noggins are always the results.
ReplyDeleteMay have to look in to these fo sho!
love an ottaman as a coffee table. and yours is great!
ReplyDeletewe don't have a coffee table. took it out b/c it was glass (during the infant stage) and we never put it back.
i may have to look into the ottoman coffee table!

ReplyDeleteI love ottomans too! That animal print though? Not so much.
