On Saturday, Ryan took "the teenager" and Preston to an event at the Rough Rider's stadium with a few other father and son pairs while I stayed home with Trysten...he is getting over bronchitis...and Carter. The babysitter showed up early evening, and Ryan and I headed to the Kenny Chesney concert at Pizza Hut Park. We started off at Lochrann's across the street, where we had dinner, drinks, and watched the Kentucky Derby. I would love, love, love to go see that in person some day. It's the one place you can wear a hat bigger than your body's circumference and not look ridiculous. Needless to say, we parked it there for a long time due to the hurricane taking place just beyond the glass windows. Around 8:00 we paid the bill, purchased 2 ponchos for $10.00, braved the weather, and sat through a few sporadic showers and the first 6 songs on Kenny's playlist. Right before the beginning of some of our personal favorites, the heavens opened and we ran for the hills. By the time we reached our car, we were both soaked from head to toe, and that's no exaggeration. Despite the impromptu soaking, we decided to join some of our friends at their home for an early Cinco de Mayo party. Through Preston's baseball team, we have met some of the greatest couples and have had the best time hanging out and getting to know each other. We all have the same age children and pretty much get together in some form or fashion every weekend, usually with all the kids. The rest of the evening was spent with them...laughing, talking, and playing games...this time it was Buzz Word...Good times!
Sunday...Since I am working tomorrow but the kids are off, my boys went to stay overnight at their dad's, so Ryan and I had the chance to spend some quality time with Trysten. We took him to Dave & Busters, and together we won 3,600 tickets...Below you can see what T decided to "purchase" with the loot...
Could he be any cuter with those 2 front teeth missing!!! He looks like his handsome daddy!
GOOD TIMES....
