Mystery Reader!

Every day of the week, Trysten's teacher puts a new clue up on the board to help the kids decode the identification of Friday afternoon's Mystery Reader! Look at the clues below, and see if you can guess who is was today...

If you guessed ME, you're right! When I received an email from his teacher a few weeks ago looking for a Mystery Reader for December 11th, I jumped at the chance! Mrs. Baird asked me to send her 5 clues that would help Trysten realize it was me, and she told me that not until day 4, did he really start to think it might be someone in his family! When I arrived, Mrs. Baird was waiting outside her classroom door for me, and I could hear the kids laughing and talking in anxious anticipation of their unknown guest! She told me that Trysten thought it was going to be Ryan, so when she opened the door, and I walked in, he jumped up, yelled, "Alli!", ran over to me, and hugged me with the tightest squeeze! At that moment, I was so incredibly happy that I had decided to take the day off from work to share this time with T. He introduced me to the class by saying, "This is my step mom, Alli, and she's a teacher just like Mrs. Baird!"
Melt my heart!

I love the look on his face here...he was so sweet! =)

I read 2 books, Tacky the Penguin and a holiday favorite, Polar Express! When we finshed the books, the kids returned to their seats, and worked on a quick little project I brought for them. I handed each student a silver bell, like the one in Polar Express, and a piece of holiday ribbon. I gave them the option to make an ornament for their tree or a necklace to wear!
Here's one of Trysten's friends wearing his necklace!

Trysten passing out the holiday cookies I brought for the kids!

How precious is he!
