Weekend, Oh Weekend!

Weekend, oh glorious weekend.
Where did you go?
How quickly you're gone.
How you do it, I'll never know.

We celebrated 2 birthdays
for Trysten and Mimi,
had cake and presents
and enjoyed our sweet family.

Grandaddy shared his surprise
about the cruise we will take
He showed the little ones the big ship
on which memories we will make!

 Ryan and the boys,
well, they saw Alvatar in 3D,
while I sat next door
and The Lovely Bones I did see.

The boys made a hideout
in the bounce house out back,
with blankets, pillows and toys
that is definitely a fun fact!

There was laughing and playing
all weekend long.
Another great time,
where for the most part...nothing went wrong!!

Happy Monday!!!

What did you think of The Lovely Bones? You know I loved the book....but I've heard the movie is weak. Let me know!

  2. The movie was okay. I suppose it would be more enjoyable if I had NOT read the book. It's so difficult to live up to what you get out of a book. Major parts were left out which I thought changed the dynamics of the characters and their impact on the story. For instance....DON'T read on if you plan on reading the book...the affair between the detective and Suzie's mother is completely left out of the movie! That betrayal against her father was such an important part of the book IMO. I guess they wanted the viewers to have sympathy for her instead of detest her for betraying her family the way she does in the book. I don't know.

All in all, I would just wait until it comes out on satellite! Hope that helps!

  6. Love your poems.

I want to see Lovely Bones but I am afraid it won't be half as good as the book.
