You guessed it.
Another project...or two.
This whole SAHM thing is awesome.
I get so much done since I am child-free all day long.
Awesome.
I found this mirror at one of my favorite consignment stores in Dallas:
Sorry...I couldn't figure out how to take the pic without myself in the reflection...and Carter.
Silly boy.
Ugly, huh?
But...I had to have it...especially once I saw the $34 price tag.
I loved the shape and details and immediately thought
it would make a great chalkboard.
SOLD.
I started with spraying the frame with this:
I then took out some glaze we had, tinted it with some acrylic paint
on hand as well and began fauxing...is that a word...the heck out of it.
I then rolled on the chalkboard paint directly to the mirror.
I finished by adding some brighter gold in some
places and adding more glaze in others.

Next project.
I am decorating a little differently this year for Halloween,
and in doing so, I needed a new banner for the fireplace.
The letters were .99 for the whole package, the paper came in a small Martha Stewart scrapbook paper book which after my coupon, cost me about $3.00 and I already had the ribbon.
On to the
next project!!
