What Allison Needs...

So I was tagged by Anniebanannie at This Momma's Musings to go into the Google search engine, type "my name" then "needs", and list the first ten responses that make sense. Here it goes...

1. Allison needs...Ya...I'll skip this one...very similar to Anniebanannie's #1, and let's just say I'm taken care of in that department thank you very much...

2. Allison needs...a man...(Got one and I prefer just one.)

3. Allison needs...a bath partner...(Not so much...who are these freaks?!)

4. Allison needs...12 fish...(Not unless it means 12 fish swimming around me underwater while I'm scuba diving in Hawaii.)

5. Allison needs...help from a beauty shop...(Yes, I do for many reasons.)

6. Allison needs...to improve...(Hey, don't we all!? No shame here!)

7. Allison needs...more good farmers to raise corn, wheat, rye, oats and barley...(Sure, why not. Keeps the kids fed and regular.)

8. Allison needs...some glowsticks...(Nope...those days are long gone and ova.)

9. Allison needs...surgery...(Yes, there are some things I'd like "taken" care of.)

10. Allison needs...to start being investigated by the DA...(Really...me? Probably for spending too much time sniffing Modge Podge.)

My new girl, Christy, over at Confessions From an Impulsive Addict, bestowed upon me...and I am actually pretty excited that someone thinks I am creative besides my hubby...the "Kreativ Blogger" award! Here are the rules for this little jewel:

Aside from loving my family and friends, here are my other 7 loves:

1. My new toys: Photoshop Elements and as of Saturday night...my new HP all-in-one printer...As I said before, it doesn't take much to entertain this girl right here...Takin' it to a whole new level!


2. Coming home to a clean house...when I didn't have to clean it. Have you ever cleaned a bathroom after 4 little boys have used it for a week? Seriously...the hole is large...is it that difficult to aim!!?


3. Long conversations with my hubby about our future without the TV on in the background...just music.


4. M-E-X-I-C-O...where else can you sit at the bar with Jesus?


5. Fabric & trim...I am obsessed.


6. Photos of the family...I have them EVERYWHERE...I never become tired of looking at them.


7. Finally discovering what marriage should feel like and "look" like...I used to be cynical of happy endings thinking they didn't really exist except in books and movies.

I Did It...

Don't want to bore anyone, but I finally finished my "25 Random Things" that I kept getting tagged for on Facebook. It was harder than I thought...

1. When I was little, I was convinced I was a midget.
2. I met my husband on a blind date.
3. I hate the sound of pots and pans scraping the sink.
4. I named my childhood dog, Danny, after a boy I had a crush on in first grade...Danny Debrick. Wonder whatever happened to him.
5. Visiting Cindy Kim twice in New York 4 summers ago was one of the best eye opening, life-changing experiences in my life.
6. I gave my hubby boudoir photos of me as a wedding gift...=)
7. My hubby cannot beat me at dominoes, and it drives him crazy.
8. Having kids is the single greatest accomplishment of my life.
9. Summer is my favorite season.
10. Being a good mother is the most important job I have ever had.
11. I am a horrible driver...I speed wayyyy too much and am on the "points" system now in Texas.
12. I used to sneak out of my house all the time in high school...Sorry Mama and Daddy!
13. I love shoes.
14. I love throwing the football with my boys.
15. I had a friend in high school that only had one boob.
16. I am all for cosmetic surgery...gotta do whatcha gotta do!
17. During my freshman year of college, I skipped more days of class than I attended.
18. I have a fear of waking up during surgery.
19. I have just about every attribute of a middle child.
20. I worked at Gadzooks when I was 15 and watched every employee that worked there, help themselves to all the free clothes they wanted.
21. I love every single movie Will Farrell movie ever made.
22. I gained a total of 11 pounds with my first baby, but when I went in to deliver, I had lost 2...Can you say stressed.
23. My husband is hands-down my best friend.
24. When I drink wine, my face turns red.
25. I have never been happier in my entire life than I am right now.

2. What is the last thing you read/are currently reading? So B. It by Sarah Weeks...amazing children's novel...with my 5th grade students and Testimony by Anita Shreve for my own enjoyment...Love every single one of her books!

3. Do you nap a lot? Any chance I get...which isn't often.

4. Who was the last person you hugged? Preston...before he left my classroom this morning

5. What is your favorite TV series? Law and Order: Special Victims Unit

6. What was the last thing you said out loud? "I Love you, Ryan, and I am so proud of you." (to my hubby on the phone)

7. What websites do you always visit when you go online? Google, Facebook, Blogger, Time, & CNN

8. What was the last item you bought? Carter's soccer uniform

9. What is your most challenging goal? To be as proactive as Ryan....I have gotten spoiled.

10. If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished- anywhere in the world, where would it be? My in-laws neighborhood...good schools, great families and HUGE yards for the boys to play in!

11. Favorite Vacation spot? Absolutely Mexico!

20. What are you wearing right now? black slacks, 3 in heels and a fun little blouse I found at Charlotte Russe with a black cardigan over it

21. What's your favorite room in your house? Family Room...so cozy

Girl - Ruby...I love it...so old fashioned, Boy - Price...another old fashioned name

23. If you could have any "special power" what would it be and why?
I would have the power to be invisible so that I could go into my boys' classrooms and watch them at school! I love to watch them with their peers when they don't know I am!
