Stuff

Hello out there!
I have lots to blog about,
so hang on for the ride!

* Halloween in our hood is always a great time.
Kids and adults everywhere!
As of this year,
we are down to only ONE child who likes to dress up for Halloween.
One.
It's tragic.
Carter had the coolest costume this year.
Pumpkin Head:
 It really was the best costume he's had thus far.
 The problem is we spend all this money on their costumes,
and they only wear them for about 20 minutes.
Here he is during those 20 minutes:

* We celebrated "Groovy Day"
at school/work the week after Halloween.
The kids, parents and teachers had a blast.
We have such an incredible group of PTO moms.
They go all out for our school events.
It was fun seeing everyone dressed up for the day.

 The gym was transformed with games from the 60s and 70s.
 Who doesn't love Plinko?!
 All the classes had their pictures taken in front of the groovy buses.
 Twister!
A Jaw's dunking booth
A Monopoly board "cake walk"
 They even set up a sweet and salty buffet for the teachers:

 In the weeks leading up to Groovy Day,
the kids made pet rocks when they came to art.
I love the way they look in the garden in front of the school.

 At the end of the day,
the whole school came together to do
"The Hustle"
which our IT department taped and put on School Tube.
Lots of fun!

* This past Wednesday,
Ryan and I took Carter and Preston to Dave and Busters
for a little family fun.
The Teenager couldn't go since he's currently grounded
and Trysten was at his mom's.
It was a great time.
My handsome hubby took out some frustration on a few digital deer,
 while the boys opted for sporting games.

 Of course you have to spend your tickets.
 Yes, Carter got a whoopee cushion.
It popped 10 minutes later.
Darn.
 I heart these boys!

* This past Friday was "Royal Run" day at school/work.
This event took place during each grade level's PE and Specials time.
The Royal Run is our largest fundraiser of the year,
and the kids, parents and teachers once again
had fun dressing up for the theme.
The PTO went all out again with a DJ and a snack shop.
This is me with one of the PE coaches...BTW that is a wig under his court jester's hat...and the music teacher.
 I love being able to share school days with Carter.
 How often do you get the chance to wear a tutu and a crown to work?
 One of the PTO moms and a group of
some sweet 3rd grade girls.
Between private donations and money raised by students,
Royal Run Day
brought in over $27,000 for our school!
What a fun day!

* We took the boys,
minus Austin who spent the weekend with his dad,
ice skating at The Galleria in Dallas on Saturday.
It was some wonderful, much needed family time!
 Carter's skills on ice have vastly improved since the cruise.
Sweet boy.
 Brothers...=)
Poor Trysten face planted on the ice but recovered like a trooper!
 Here's to kicking off the holiday season!

Annnnnd done!
Have a great week!
