Summer Fun!

This below is exactly how I feel right now.
I so heart summer.
Who doesn't?
Lots of summer fun going on around our house!

I've had some time to work on projects for my classroom for next school year.
These letters are for my art word wall.
If I could doodle for a living, I'd apply first thing...yesterday.

We have logged countless hours cooking on The Big Green Egg.
Actually, Ryan has done the cooking.
The rest of our family has done the eating.
Behold baby back ribs.
Now, I'm not a big meat eater at.all. but check these out.
Yum.
Smoked Salmon
Now we're talking my language.
It was delish.
Trysten said it tasted like chicken but loved every bite.
He actually ate leftovers for lunch for 2 days.
On to talapia with pesto sauce.
On The Big Green Egg.
Yes, please.
Every night.
And what are summer dinners without watermelon?
I know, right!?
Summer fun means we are LIVING outdoors.
We have to soak up every moment before the heat is unbearable.
Ryan and I finally broke down and bought the kids a trampoline.
Have you ever watched boys on a trampoline?
It's not for the weak of heart.
Carter and Trysten have been making homes for ants in the backyard.
It's hard for me to get upset when I watch them being so creative.
We discovered this little guy in the backyard the other night.
WTH?
Completely creepy.
His antenna were longer than his body.
Makes you realize how many insects are out there that we have no clue about.
Am I the only nerd that thinks about stuff like this?
We've spent lots of time at the pool.
The boys are all over water balloons again this summer.
This was Trysten's creation.
Ryan took the boys to the races recently at Texas Motor Speedway.
A total boy thing.
I gladly opted out on this excursion.
It was definitely some good male bonding time.
 Talk about great seats!

All the guys had a blast.
I took the little guys to a local water park for some bonding time of my own.
I had the best time with these boys.
Love 'em.
And this one is growing up way too fast.
They each picked out a treat after lunch.
Carter and Trysten chose tubes full of colored sugar.
Awesome.
Preston opted for shaved ice.
This kid is always in character!
Let's see how many times we can ride the same slide over...
and over...
and over.

Kids are the epitome of carefree happiness.

Lots of summer fun!
I hope you are enjoying yours as well!!
