Family Game Night

We have been doing family movie night for quite some time now, and I guess the teacher in me has been feeling like we need to watch less television and do something where we would actually converse, laugh, use our brains and grow as a family. Ryan and I play games together a lot, with dominoes being our favorite....ya, who's the reigning champion of dominoes and Scrabble...that would be me =)...and we were buying some new board games to give to the boys for Christmas and decided to institute a family game night. Preston is a huge fan of board games, so he was ecstatic about our decision, and the rest joined right in! Here are a few pictures from our first installment, and judging by the participation, we have started another Solawatts tradition!

Trysten playing a memory game, and Carter putting together a puzzle...He can put a 70 piece puzzle together all by himself!

Austin and T playing Connect 4

I love watching him get so into puzzles...we are getting quite a collection now!

Carter and Trysten didn't quite get this game at first. They were each playing their own individual games on opposite sides and paying no attention to what the other was doing!

Ryan, Carter and I played Yahtzee. I remember playing this game all the time with my grandmother when I was little. =)
