Thursday Evening...

Thursdays are kind of special days in our home because every other week, it's the only day Trysten is with us, so we try to do something fun. This Thursday evening consisted of painting snowman suncatchers and building a gingerbread house...which if you have ever attempted before...it's no easy task! Preston...our art project kid...was so excited about all of this, so from the moment we entered the house after school, he was bugging me to get started. I laid everything out on the island in the kitchen, and I said to Trysten, "Look what we're going to do, T. Doesn't it look fun!" His response was, "No." Hey...at least he's honest! Regardless of his initial reaction, he had a blast....especially when it came to licking the icing!

Preston, Trysten & Carter painting the suncathers...They have to dry overnight, so we'll see how they turn out in the morning. Carter started off with great intentions, and then he decided to put each finger into a different color paint and smear it all over the snowman. Oh well...he had fun!

The boys and I in between projects...Love T's hat, all of the chosen attire, and Carter's paint-stained fingers and arms!

Showing the boys how to...basically make a mess...=)

Carter was so patient!

Everyone pitched in!

The finished product! Austin's comment was, "It doesn't look like the box, but I love it!"

You are such a good mom! I love it that even in the craziness of this time of year you take the time to make special memories with your family. You inspire me!
