Awww the Good Old Days...

Setting the scene...dinner time, attempting to cook a homemade meal for the family, dog needs to be fed, 2 older brothers want Mom's attention, and Mom is forced to stand over the stove with the baby on her hip...Awww the good old days. Are you still in this stage? I'm am finally not, and I don't think I truly realized it until last night when I went over to a new customer's house to measure for some curtains I am making for her family room. Bless her heart...I remember trying to cook dinner with a baby on my hip in order to keep him from crying and following me around the kitchen attached to my leg. Now it seems I am having to call them 3 and 4 times to come downstairs or inside for dinner...or sometimes, in the case of "the teenager", I am having to get him to get out of the bath....you can read more on that topic here. There are times, especially on the weekends, where the older ones play outside for hours, only to come in for lunch and water. Every once in awhile, I miss those good old days...

I am still smack dab in the midst of those goog old days. Ramsey wants ALL my attention from he time we get home til he goes to bed. I'm sure I'm gonna miss it, but right now I want to pull my hair out. Not cooking is helping though!:)

Like Cass said, I am still smack dab in the middle of it too.

I long for them not to want to cling to me. But I also DREAD that day as well.....

I can totally see why people keep on having babies.....

:) I only have one right now, but I definitely am loving those days. Somedays I want to laugh and cry at the same time. Laugh because it's so beautiful and cry because I am so tired. Sigh, it's worth it. So very very worth it!!!! Love this post.

As much as I'm screaming at the kids to "get outta the kitchen and GO PLAY," I know I'm going to miss it when they don't even want to be around me.

They are going to be thoroughly convinced that EVERYTHING in the kitchen is hot, b/c that's how I keep em away from me. Is that bad?!!

I'm sure it's shocking that I'd say such, but I love the crazy days....and I'm right in the middle of them.....and without help most of the time! I mourn each baby stage passing.....literally cry at one time or another as they leave our lives....such a sap.

This is also easy to write as I sit in the living room of our suite while 3 kids are asleep and all I can hear is the rain!
