Hooked on Friday...

I'm participating in "Hooked on Fridays" going on at Hooked on Homes again, and this week...I am hooked on using tufted ottomans as coffee tables. It was the perfect solution to avoiding sharp corners when I had very little ones toddling around, and let's face it, they're beautiful!

This is mine in my family room...

Red velvet...Remind me of the infamous staircase in Gone With the Wind...

So pretty...Simple and perfect...
These are used for extra seating...
Love the animal print!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I, too, love ottomans, I have 4 in my house...one by the door is for storage of gloves/hats, etc., and I sit on it with my coffee every morning waiting for the bus with my sons...like your blog, I understand your world, as I, too, have a houseful of boys!!!!

Beautiful photos. I love ottomans as well. I took an old end table from my husband's college days and remade it into a fantastic ottoman, it makes such an interesting piece in my front room.

Wow - gorgeous!! And that really is a great idea for little ones. We just had to put our glass one in storage because of our toddling babes. Beautiful!!

We don't have a coffee table in our living room. Weird huh? But when the kiddos get a bit older, I migh have to get myself a zebra printed one witha pea green base.

Love it.

We just bought one this week and I LOVE it! Two head injuries on the coffee table was enough for the hubby to allow me to make the purchase!

I really regret that I bought a coffee table for my family room instead of an ottoman. They're so much more comfy when you want to kick your feet up on something. Someday I hope to switch it out!

Every since I saw your zebra ottoman in posts past, I have wanted one. I'm in the market! Can you suggest anywhere to look in particular?

BTW- the tags and frames look precious in house of Coco! Love them! I think I need some. And... I love the cute little shirt and frame from the last post.

Guess what... I love yours the most! Shocker, huh? Where did you get it?

Looks like I'm not the only one who loves tufted ottomans! Glad you liked the photos!

Heather and Sassy- Thanks for the compliments! I bought the fabric I originally had the ottoman made at Childress in Frisco, and for my current house, I had it recovered at Berkely's which is also in Frisco. It was very inexpensive...compared to buying a new one...to just have it recovered. It is the second one I have had, and I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular coffee table. They give me the chance to use my beloved animal prints!!

love love love them! Coffee tables do make me nervous b/c they are ALWAYS the preferred choice of furniture for the babes to pull up on. And, of course, busted lips and bumped noggins are always the results.

May have to look in to these fo sho!
