Trysten's Christmas and Christmas Plans!

To put it nicely...our Christmas plans are ALL over the place this year...the worst part of divorce.  Last year was the first year, since Ryan and I have been together, that we were all together for Christmas Eve and day, and it was extrememly special.  Being together last year means this year...we won't be.  Ryan and I will be alone without children on Christmas Eve, something I have never experienced in the 13+ years I have been a mother.  We have already made plans for a romantic night...which will be incredible as always...it will just be different without the boys there to share the night with...The life saver is knowing that on the day after Christmas, all 6 of us will board an airplane bound for New York!  I CANNOT WAIT!  It will definitely be a family vacation to remember forever!

We chose to celebrate Christmas with Trysten this past Thursday...after making special arrangements with Santa...since the next time we see him is when we scoop him up on the way to the airport.  It was a lot of fun, and my boys were so excited to watch him open all his gifts!  I was very proud of them, because I had prepared myself for rounds of, "That's not fair that he gets to open his presents already!"

The note Santa left Trysten to let him know he can have his hamster when he returns from New York!

Preston and T reading the letter from Santa!

Let the unwrapping begin!  He was moving so fast, the camera couldn't even focus!

The harmonica Trysten asked for!

I'm still not sure whether Ryan bought this helicopter for Trysten or himself! It is really cool!

A Socker Bopper Bop Buddy! Right up Trysten's alley!

The "tight" hat he asked for!

So, Trysten starts opening up the scooter we got him, only isn't wasn't his...It was the one we bought for Carter!  Ryan had wrapped both of them, and I put the tag for Trysten's on Carter's and the tag for Carter's on Trysten's! Oops!

As a result, Carter received an early Christmas present!

Remember the smaller version of these from when we were young!? Coco...I can totally see your Bram loving one of these!

Trysten riding his "tight" scooter! Precious smile!

Merry Christmas, Trysten!
We love you!

That's so sweet. Thats kinda awesome just to get to focus on one kid at a time and see his joy. Opening presents is so crazy when there are so many kids opening all at the same time.

Have a great time in NY! Can't wait to see those pics!

Superb write up. I loved reading through this. Anyway, we have also been planning to host a grand Xmas themed birthday bash for our mom. She loves Christmas so it will be best theme for her surprise party. We have already booked prettiest indoor Venues in NYC for that.
