Did You know?

Did you know that Halloween is just around the corner?
It is, and the boys are in full force
"What do I want to be for Halloween?" mode.
Preston decided he wants to be Michael Jackson.
Awesome.
Trysten told me he wanted to be some vampire/werewolf
thing with an axe and Carter some guy with a gun.
Of course they do.
I remember when my boys were little,
I would not allow ANY toys in the house resembling a gun.
It didn't matter.
They made guns out of Legos, sticks, spatulas.
Go figure.
Their costumes are the easy part.
Now, trying to figure out what Ryan and I
will be for the Logue's annual bash is always a chore.
Ideas anyone?
I love Halloween.

Did you know that Trysten's school is having
a guest author today?
Did you know that the author
just so happens to be my
FAVORITE children's author?
For real.
Her name is Patricia Polacco.
I taught a unit covering all the literary elements:
plot, characterization, tone/mood, irony, theme, symbolism, figurative language
using all of her books every year I was a teacher.
Even my 7th graders loved her books.
She's awesome.
It just so happens it's my day to be a Copy Mom...or a Copy Stepmom...at Trysten's school.
I wonder if I'll catch a glimpse of the literary genius!

Did you know that the Arkansas Razorbacks are now ranked #10?!
Awesome.
This weekend the Backs play #1 Alabama.
Huge game.
I love college football.
I can take NFL football or leave it,
but college game day is what Saturdays in the fall are
all about, my friends.

Did you know that I am about to start another huge sewing job?
I'm pretty excited to see my business starting to grow.
I do wish I had my own room to work in.
It drives me crazy to have my sewing machine
setup in Ryan's and my bedroom.
Life goes on.

Did you know that last night at Preston's baseball game,
I noticed that the boys on his team, as well as their opponent,
had a small obsession with their athletic cups.
Yep.
Adjusting them, knocking on them as if knocking on a door.
Hello...is anyone in there?
Hilarious.

Did you know that I love Subway sandwiches?
I do.
Six inch turkey, no cheese, not toasted, with lettuce, tomatoes,
pepperoncinis, black olives, lite mayo, salt, pepper, vinegar and oil.
Yum.
Did you know they have a
"Sub of the Day'
that you can purchase for a mere $2.49?
Wednesday is the turkey sandwich.
Monday is the ham and turkey sandwich.
I went to Subway yesterday, Monday, and ordered the ham and turkey.
I didn't want to ham but wanted to $2.49 price,
so I asked the lady if she would only put 1 slice on my sandwich.
Her reply: "Then it wouldn't be the ham and turkey Sub of the Day."
Really?
Okay, put on the 2nd damn piece of ham, and call it the
"Sub of the Day".
Whatever.

Did you know that Market Street has their
funky pumpkins in store now.
I am so excited.
I am thinking of doing something like this:
or this since I already have the nail heads:
Checkout this masterpiece:
and this:

Happy Tuesday, friends!

I love the painted pumpkins with the polk-a-dots. And the nail heads. I saw that one last year and thought it was a great idea. I can't decide which one I want to do!

So excited for your Hogs!! Definitely watching that game this weekend. It'll be a great one!

Have you tried the flatbread at Subway?? So good. Just had my first one last week and it might be my new favorite at Subway.

I was thinking about making a trek over to pick up those frames this weekend some time. Let me know if that would work! :)
