Weekend Recap

Hello, friends!
I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
We had a 3 day weekend full of much needed family time!
The relaxing schedule was a preview of the upcoming glorious months of summer.
Lazy days by the pool, the lake house, spontaneous weekday excursions.
I am so excited!
The boys did, however, remind me this weekend of what happens
when they have a little too much togetherness with each other.
There were definitely some attitude challenges.
(All pics were taken with my iPhone, so excuse the quality.)

Exhibit 1 Timeout after hitting his brother with a pool "noodle":
Exhibit 2 Pouting because we had to go to Preston's baseball game instead of the pool:
It's a rough life.
As seen in the first pic, much of our time was spent at the pool over the holiday.

This was right before Preston was sent to timeout.
Aren't those things made to be used IN the pool?
Love these kids !
While at the pool,
I discovered something horrible.
See the pic below.
This is what happens to your skin when you lay out without
enough sunscreen from high school through college.
Sunspots.
Nice.
What was I thinking??!!
Oh, ya.
I was thinking that I was going to be young forever.

Moving on.
We went over to my parents for dinner and to let all the cousins play on Saturday.
They had a blast!
That's Alexis.
I swear she's the happiest baby ever and loves all the big kids.
Addyson.
I could eat her up.

That's it!
I have totally been slacking with the camera.
My little camera died...again...and my new one is so intimidating that I'm not comfortable with it yet.
Fail.
This is Ryan's last week off before his new job,
so we'll be hanging all week long.
We thought about a quick getaway
but felt it was smarter to put more dinero away for our new casa.
Have a great week, friends!
I have some ideas to bounce off of you later in the week, so until then...
Take care!

How normal you week-end seems, but how nice that it was warm enough to swim.

Attitudes with 4 boys?? I'd never guess you had any challenges. :)

Sun spots - ugh! Don't get me started. I hate myself for not wearing sunscreen earlier in life. Freckles, sunspots, blah!

Love your braids. Cute!!

You're hilarious.
I used to go to a tanning bed every other day in high school and part of college. Not anymore! My mom had skin cancer and I've been tan toweling ever since. I still have some spots.
Love the pouting boys. And especially love that you captured the moments on camera. Nice. We're just starting to deal with extra attitude from Sophia lately. The mouth on that girl! Where does she get that?! Lots of room time and removal of stickers from the sticker chart. Would NEVER know how to handle 4 boys, though!!!
